Pastor Russell served 6 years as Chairman of the Deacon Board of the Crusaders Baptist
Church in Washington, DC. He was ordained and installed as the Pastor of Faith
Tabernacle Church in Vincent, Ohio in 1997, where he served for 7 years. He accepted
the Pastorship of the Marietta Wesleyan Church in July of 2004 and was in that position
until August of 2008.
Russell has been employed as a Program Analyst at the Bureau of the Public Debt for
16 years and has served as National Treasury Employees Union Chapter President for the
past 13 years.
Russell has been married to Diane Dancy Wooten for over 29 years and they have one
son, Russell Wooten III, who they lovingly call Rusty.
He has served on the Washington, DC Police Department, the Pennsylvania State Police
Department, and the US Air Force, and has over 26 years of federal government service.
He is continuing his classes toward a commission by the Wesleyan Church.
